What it can do when a file has to go out

    One archive, or one each

    You can pack to 7z, ZIP, and TAR, including their GZ, BZ2, XZ, and ZST forms, plus GZIP, BZIP2, XZ, ZSTD, and WIM. Make one archive or one each, then convert formats and test integrity.

    Open what someone else sent

    Ordinary archives can be opened, including RAR / RAR5, ISO, CAB, DMG, ARJ, LZH, MSI, and images such as VHD and VMDK. RAR can be extracted, not created. 7z and ZIP can take a password. 7z can also encrypt file names, and it supports solid archives, split volumes, and a self-extractor.

    The program itself is released under the MIT licence. Its engine is 7-Zip 26.03 (GNU LGPL), called on its own, and its code is not changed. It runs on Windows and needs Python 3.11 or newer. A context menu can be added for the current user, without administrator rights.

Make one archive each, merge them, extract a batch, convert formats, test integrity, and compute SHA-256 or CRC32. 7z and ZIP can take a password. 7z also supports encrypted names, solid archives, split volumes, and a self-extractor.

The system

A context menu can be added for the current user, without administrator rights. It can also be set as the default opener for common archive types.
